Alexandr Nazarov is the head of the technical production studio at the theatre “School of Dramatic Art” and a teacher of GITIS’s director’s faculty for Kamenkovich’s and Krimov’s course.
He was born on March 29, 1958 in Shelkovo, Moscow Region.
From 1979 to 1984 he worked as the main scene shifter at Gogol’s Theatre, Moscow.
In 1984 he was moved to the theater on Taganka and worked there until 1990.
A. Nazarov began as a rigger , then becoming a head of the performance part and technical production studio. During his work in the theatre he worked on a lot of great plays. With A. Efros, he created “At the Bottom”, “War Doesn’t Have a Woman’s Face” (artist Dmitry Krymov), “A Perfect Sunday for Picnics”, and “Serso”, put on by Anatoliy Vasiliev and Igor Popov. He also took part in the renewal of Y. Lubimov’s plays such as “Boris Godunov”, and “Vladimir Visotsky”. Nazarov worked with Lubimov on plays “Suicide Victim”, and “The Feast During the Plague”. In one way or another, A. Nazarov was involved in the creation of all plays at the theatre during his time there.
Since 1990 A. Nazarov has worked at the theatre “School of Dramatic Art”. He has worked there in the position of technical director, head of performance part, and head of the technical production studio. He released all of the plays in that theatre expect for “Six Characters in Search of the Author” and “Vis-a-Vis”.
Since 2007 Nazarov lectures on “Technique and Technologies in Scenography” on the director’s faculty of the Russian Academy of Dramatic Art (GITIS) for the course of Kamerovich and Krimov.
